Jee main: 26 Candidates Achieve Perfect Scores in 2026

Twenty-six candidates—yes, twenty-six—achieved a perfect 100 NTA score in JEE (Main) 2026. This marks an increase from last year’s count of twenty-four. It’s a testament to the fierce competition and the relentless pursuit of excellence among students.

Out of over sixteen lakh unique registrants, 15,38,468 candidates actually appeared for the exam. And from this pool, a staggering 2,50,182 qualified for the prestigious JEE (Advanced). These numbers reflect not just ambition but also the high stakes involved in securing a spot in one of India’s top engineering institutes.

Among the perfect scorers, there’s diversity: one belongs to the general-EWS category while another hails from OBC-NCL. Yet, this year’s results have a notable gap—no female candidate managed to score that coveted 100 percentile. However, Telangana’s Mallavarapu Aasna shone brightly with an impressive 99.998 percentile.

Aarush Singhal from Chandigarh claimed the top rank—AIR 1—in JEE Main 2026 Session 2. Expected raw marks for his score are between 295 and 300 out of a possible 300. That kind of precision? It’s mind-boggling.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts this exam annually, which is often regarded as one of the most challenging entrance tests globally. The pressure is palpable; students prepare for months—sometimes years—to get their shot at IITs.

This year’s data shows that nearly 96,873 candidates from the general category qualified for JEE (Advanced). The numbers paint a picture of determination and hard work—but they also highlight an ongoing issue regarding gender representation in STEM fields.

As we look forward to future sessions and results, observers are keen to see how these trends evolve. Will we see more female candidates breaking through next year? Details remain unconfirmed.
