Thomas Cook Expands Presence with New Outlet in Gwalior

Thomas Cook Expands Presence in Madhya Pradesh

“Madhya Pradesh is an important source market for us at Thomas Cook India,” stated Rajeev Kale, President & Country Head – Holidays, MICE, Visa at Thomas Cook (India) Limited. This statement underscores the company’s strategic focus as it opens its first outlet in Gwalior, further solidifying its footprint in the region.

The new outlet, located in Gwalior’s city centre, expands Thomas Cook’s presence to six outlets across Madhya Pradesh. This strategic location is expected to attract strong footfall, catering to a diverse range of customer segments, including multi-generational families, couples, millennials, GenZ, and seniors.

Thomas Cook’s new outlet offers a comprehensive array of travel services, including international and domestic holidays, group tours, personalized holidays, and cruises. The demand for domestic travel is particularly driven by Gwalior’s proximity to Delhi, with popular destinations like Kashmir and Leh-Ladakh being highly sought after.

In addition to its physical expansion, Thomas Cook has also embraced technology to enhance customer experience. The company’s AI booking platform assists customers in planning personalized vacations in real time, making the travel planning process more efficient and tailored to individual needs.

Furthermore, Thomas Cook India has partnered with Booking.com to provide enhanced accommodation solutions for corporate clients. This partnership integrates over 31 million listings across 220 countries into Thomas Cook’s corporate booking tools, aiming to expand global accommodation choices while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Indiver Rastogi, a representative from Booking.com, commented, “Through our partnership with Booking.com, we are redefining accommodation access—expanding global choice whilst enhancing the compliance and servicing framework that enterprises require.” This collaboration is expected to significantly benefit corporate travelers seeking reliable accommodation options.

Mark van der Linden, also from Booking.com, added, “This partnership is a strategic step in making Booking.com’s extensive global inventory truly ‘enterprise-ready’ for the Indian market.” This highlights the commitment of both companies to cater to the evolving needs of the travel industry.

The launch of the Gwalior outlet is seen as a strategic move to deepen Thomas Cook’s presence in Madhya Pradesh, a region that is becoming increasingly important for the company. As travel preferences evolve, the new outlet is positioned to meet the changing demands of travelers.

With the new outlet and strategic partnerships, Thomas Cook (India) Limited is poised for growth in the competitive travel market, aiming to provide enhanced services and experiences for its customers.
