With over 1.5 crore government officials actively engaged on the iGOT platform, the mission has logged an impressive 8.3 crore course completions, showcasing the dedication of public servants to enhance their competencies.

Dr. R Balasubramaniam, a key figure in the initiative, remarked, “Mission Karmayogi is playing a key role in making government officials future-ready and transforming the capacity-building ecosystem in the country.” This statement reflects the mission’s broader goal of shifting governance from a rule-based to a role-based approach, where officials are not just following directives but are empowered to make impactful decisions.

The guiding philosophy of this initiative, “Nagrik Devo Bhava,” emphasizes treating citizens as the supreme authority in governance. In the last National Learning Week, the iGOT platform generated 4.5 million hours of course enrollments, with 3.8 million hours of actual learning logged. The platform offers over 4,600 competency-linked courses, including AI-based training sessions designed to familiarize officers with emerging technologies.

As the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) collaborates with all 30 States and Union Territories to create tailored Capacity Building Plans, the initiative is set to further enhance the capabilities of every government employee in India. With 11 years of deep integration of technology into government functioning, the Karmayogi mission stands as a testament to the evolving landscape of governance.
