“Park Jin-young will not go through the process of reappointment as an inside director at the general shareholders’ meeting on March 26,” stated JYP Entertainment in a recent announcement.

This tour was recognized as the highest-grossing K-pop tour of 2025 according to Billboard’s end-of-the-year report.

Park’s contributions to the K-pop industry extend beyond his role at JYP. He was recently named co-chairman of the Popular Culture Exchange Committee under President Lee Jae-myung, further solidifying his impact on the cultural landscape.

As Park Jin-young steps back from his directorial duties, he reassures fans and industry stakeholders that he will continue his various efforts within the K-pop industry going forward. “Jinyoung Park will continue his various efforts within the K-pop industry going forward,” JYP Entertainment confirmed.

The upcoming shareholders’ meeting on March 26 is expected to address the future direction of JYP Entertainment without Park’s directorship. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any potential successors or changes in the company’s leadership structure.
