Tragic Incident at Surajkand Mela
A joyride collapsed at the Surajkand Mela in Faridabad, Haryana, resulting in the death of a police inspector and injuries to thirteen others. The incident occurred when the inspector was struck in the face and head by part of the ride while attempting to rescue individuals caught in the chaos.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini expressed his condolences, stating, “I am deeply saddened by the accident that occurred during the Surajkund Mela in Faridabad.” He confirmed that authorities have been instructed to ensure proper care for the injured.
In response to the incident, Ayush Sinha, a local official, announced that action will be taken against the joyride operator. He stated, “FIR will be registered, and an investigation will be done.” This indicates a commitment to accountability in the wake of the tragedy.

The company sold 120 units of ‘The Grand Europe’ in just one day and fully booked 173 ultra-luxury homes. This surge in real estate activity comes as Omaxe Ltd’s projects achieved a combined estimated investment of over ₹1,060 crore.
The Grand Europe is scheduled for completion by August 2030, while Omaxe Residences is expected to be completed by December 2030. Omaxe Ltd has delivered around 140.17 million sq ft of real estate across 31 cities in 8 states since its inception in 1987.
