Cbse board exams middle east class 10

Changes to CBSE Board Exams in the Middle East

Prior to the recent decision, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had scheduled Class 10 exams in the Middle East from March 7 to March 11, 2026. This was part of a broader examination schedule that commenced on February 17, 2026, with approximately 44 lakh students set to participate.

However, a decisive moment occurred when the CBSE announced the cancellation of these exams due to ongoing conflicts in the region, particularly linked to the Iran-Israel conflict. This cancellation affects students in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

In addition to the Class 10 exams, the CBSE also postponed the Class 12 exam originally scheduled for March 7, 2026. Exams that were previously postponed on March 2, March 5, and March 6, 2026, are now also cancelled.

The board has indicated that it will review the situation on March 7, 2026, regarding exams planned from March 9, 2026, onwards. This uncertainty leaves many students and educators in a state of apprehension as they await further updates.

CBSE has emphasized that these measures were taken after a thorough evaluation of prevailing conditions, prioritising the safety and well-being of students and examination staff. In light of this, students have been advised to remain in contact with their schools and monitor updates from authorized sources to avoid misinformation.

As the situation evolves, the board will communicate the mode of result declaration for Class 10 candidates separately. Further updates on revised schedules and result modalities will be provided in subsequent communications.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding the exact implications of these cancellations on students’ academic progression and future examinations. The board’s focus remains on ensuring that students are informed and supported during this challenging time.
