Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Celebrating Ram Navami 2026

What does the upcoming Ram Navami celebration at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir signify for devotees and the community? It represents a moment of deep devotion and unity, as the temple prepares to welcome approximately 100,000 visitors on March 27, 2026.

Ram Navami, which marks the birth of Lord Shri Ram, will be celebrated with great fervor this year. The temple trust has made significant arrangements to accommodate the expected heavy footfall, including the suspension of VIP darshan to ensure that all devotees can partake in the festivities.

On this auspicious day, the Surya Tilak ceremony is scheduled for exactly 12 PM, during which the sun’s rays will illuminate the forehead of the Ram Lalla idol for about four minutes. This moment is anticipated with great excitement among the devotees.

To enhance the experience, screens have been installed throughout Ayodhya to provide live visuals of the ceremonies, allowing those who cannot enter the temple to still feel connected to the celebrations.

The day will commence early with the Mangal Aarti at 4:30 AM, followed by the Shringar Aarti at 6:30 AM, and concluding with the Shayan Aarti at 9:30 PM. Devotees will be able to visit the temple during specific time slots, ensuring a smooth flow of visitors throughout the day.

Ayodhya is being transformed into a vibrant spectacle, adorned with lights, flowers, saffron flags, rangoli, and earthen diyas, creating an atmosphere of joy and reverence. The community’s spirit is palpable as preparations unfold.

Prominent figures have also weighed in on the significance of this event. Mahant Sitaram Das emphasized that “devotion to Lord Ram should rise above political positioning,” highlighting the unifying power of faith.

In contrast, Arya Sant Varun Das Maharaj noted that while the visit of political figures like Digvijaya Singh is welcome, it raises questions about shifting stances on the temple’s construction. Singh himself stated, “I have never opposed the construction of the Ram Temple and had even contributed Rs 1.10 lakh towards it,” reflecting the complex interplay of faith and politics.

Iqbal Ansari, a local leader, remarked, “Ayodhya is a place of faith that connects people across communities,” underscoring the temple’s role as a symbol of unity.

As the day approaches, the atmosphere in Ayodhya is charged with anticipation and devotion. However, details remain unconfirmed regarding the final arrangements and any additional ceremonies that may take place.
