Air India Flights: Resumption of Services to West Asia

Air India Flights Resume Operations

Air India and Air India Express are set to operate a total of 58 flights to West Asia, linking India with key destinations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. This resumption of services marks a significant increase in connectivity as travel demand continues to rise in the region.

Starting March 12, 2026, IndiGo will also resume flights to nine destinations in the Middle East, further enhancing travel options for passengers. Notably, Air India will operate one round-trip flight from Delhi to Jeddah and two round-trip flights from Mumbai to Jeddah.

In addition to these routes, Air India Express will provide one round-trip service from Bengaluru and Kozhikode to Jeddah. Air India will also operate flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Muscat, with two round-trips from Kozhikode to Muscat.

Both airlines have scheduled one non-scheduled round-trip service to Riyadh from Mumbai and Kozhikode, reflecting the growing demand for travel to the Gulf region.

Furthermore, Air India and Air India Express have planned 78 extra flights between March 10 and March 18, 2026, on long-haul routes, indicating a robust response to the anticipated surge in passenger numbers.

Passengers are advised to check flight status regularly, as schedules may change. IndiGo has warned that “flight schedules may change at short notice,” emphasizing the need for travelers to stay informed.

Air India Express has also announced that guests traveling to or from the Gulf region to India are eligible for a free date change or cancellation for travel scheduled until March 31, 2026. This policy aims to provide flexibility amid ongoing uncertainties in travel plans.

The resumption of Air India flights comes as travel between the UAE and India picks up, highlighting the airlines’ commitment to meeting the needs of travelers in the region.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding any further expansions or changes to the flight schedules as the situation evolves.
